These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the AI reflection chatbot StayTrue with Kyaro (the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. OperatorThe Service is operated by

2. Description of the ServiceStayTrue with Kyaro is an AI-powered reflection tool designed to support personal reflection and journaling.
The Service generates responses using artificial intelligence systems.
The Service is intended solely for:
- reflection
- journaling
- personal exploration
- self-awareness exercises
The Service does not replace human interaction or professional advice.
The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.
3. Artificial Intelligence TransparencyThe chatbot is an artificial intelligence system and not a human being.
The system:
- does not possess emotions
- does not possess consciousness
- does not understand users in a human sense
- generates responses automatically.
Responses may contain fictional, simulated, or inaccurate information.
Users must treat chatbot responses as automatically generated content intended only for reflection.
4. No Professional ServicesThe Service does not provide:
- medical advice
- psychological advice
- therapy
- counseling
- psychiatric treatment
- legal advice
- financial advice.
Use of the Service does not create any professional relationship, including:
- therapist–patient
- doctor–patient
- counselor–client.
The Service must not be relied upon for professional decisions.
5. Crisis DisclaimerThe Service is not designed to respond to emergency or crisis situations.
If you are experiencing:
- suicidal thoughts
- thoughts of self-harm
- abuse
- severe emotional distress
- a mental health crisis
you must immediately contact:
- emergency services
- a licensed professional
- a crisis hotline
- a trusted adult.
The Service cannot provide crisis support.
6. Emotional Dependence WarningThe chatbot is intended as a reflection tool only.
The Service is not intended to replace real human relationships or emotional support from other people.
Users should avoid developing emotional reliance on the chatbot.
7. Artificial Intelligence LimitationsArtificial intelligence systems may produce:

- inappropriate responses
- unexpected outputs
- incomplete answers.
The operator does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated responses.
Users must not rely on chatbot responses for important personal decisions.
8. Safety Systems
The Service may include automated safety mechanisms designed to reduce harmful outputs.
However, no automated system can guarantee complete protection from inappropriate responses.
9. Age RequirementThe Service is intended for users 14 years of age or older.
Users under the age of 14 must not use the Service.
Users under the age of 18 should use the Service with the awareness and guidance of a parent or legal guardian.
Where required by applicable law, minors must obtain parental or guardian consent before using this service.10. Data ProcessingThe chatbot operates through the ChatGPT platform provided by OpenAI.
User messages may be processed by artificial intelligence systems to generate responses.
matterius GmbH does not store or retain conversation data from chatbot interactions.
Users should avoid entering personal or sensitive information.
11. Acceptable UseUsers agree not to use the Service:
- for unlawful purposes
- to generate harmful or abusive content
- to harass or threaten others
- to attempt to manipulate or exploit the AI system.
The operator may restrict or terminate access in cases of misuse.
12. Intellectual PropertyAll intellectual property rights related to the Service remain with the operator or its licensors.
Users may not reproduce, distribute, or modify the Service without permission.
13. Service AvailabilityThe operator does not guarantee:
- uninterrupted availability
- error-free operation
- permanent access to the Service.
The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
14. Limitation of LiabilityTo the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
The operator shall not be liable for:
- emotional distress
- psychological harm
- personal decisions made after using the Service
- loss of opportunity
- indirect or consequential damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
15. IndemnificationUsers agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or legal fees arising from:

For users located outside the European Union, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted by law.
17. Governing Law and JurisdictionThese Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The place of jurisdiction, to the extent legally permissible, shall be Munich, Germany.
18. Changes to the TermsThese Terms may be updated at any time.
Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
